I’ve started to learn embroidery. It’s funny, even though I deeply believe this to be true, I always need to remind myself:

When starting something new, being enthusiastically and unabashedly bad at it is the best/only path forward.

I guess this is still “gifted kid” baggage. Part of me is always afraid someone is watching and will call me a fraud if I don’t instantly and effortlessly master a new skill.
