I heard this in exurb1a’s new video and the truth of it hit me so hard, and it’s lingered for 24hrs now:

“Art is not for fixing yourself, it is for showing others that you're broken so they might feel less alone.”

Something ended in me when I heard that. I don’t even know what. Maybe the part of me still lost in expression is about clarity or healing or even “value.” It’s not. Sometimes it’s just a flare sent up from the wreckage.
