Heads up: When using ChatGPT's search feature, your prompts may be more exposed than you think.
-Prompts are rewritten: Your conversational input is rephrased and sent to a third-party search engine (like Bing).
-Indexing Risk: Previously, publicly shared chat links were indexed by Google, exposing sensitive prompts. (OpenAI has since removed this feature).
-Tracking: Links clicked in the results often include a utm_source=chatgpt.com identifier for tracking.-Stick to Google/Chrome for everyday browsing for now.
If you use ChatGPT, disable "Chat History & Training" in Data Controls to keep your prompts private.
Never share confidential information.
