I finished writing a first draft of the latest chapter in my novel.

I thought it was done. Planned on revising it.

But after I stepped away for the day, I realized the chapter contained mostly unnecessary fluff.

It will be eliminated.

Sometimes we need distance from our work in order to see certain truths. Without distance and detachment, we risk clarity and insight.

Don’t be afraid to walk away.
