For a long time, even the idea of disconnecting felt inefficient. I wanted to maximize every pocket of time. If I was walking, I should be listening to a podcast. If I was sitting, I should be answering emails. If I was resting, it should still somehow be productive. And there is a time and place for that. Sometimes I feel great listening to a podcast on a walk. Other times, I’ve learned that it’s important to just walk for the sake of walking. No phone. No audio. No agenda.
