This project was never about "gender" in the sense of only rejecting social sex roles, or about sexual orientation. From the beginning, it has been a commercial marketing, and eugenics effort to sever humanity from its biological roots and to reimagine human reproduction through the lens of technological control. While those who are “gender critical,” have fought hard, they have been trimming branches while the roots of a eugenics project remain intact.
