This is an extraordinary piece! There are very exciting parallels here with the experiences of the great mathematicians of the 20th and 21st centuries. They describe not inventing the mathematical patterns which have transformed modern physics, but these patterns coming to them whole from somewhere else - as if great thought-beings are swimming through their mental space. I write about this in The Secret History of the Universe- sequel to NY Times bestseller The Secret History of the World. (I’m Mark Booth in the US and Jonathan Black in the UK and translation.)
