I am in Canada

I made a personal vow to travel from California to Canada every year trump is in office. I am on a humanitarian mission to thank the Canadians for being such good friends and neighbors AND to apologize. This is my third year / trip. They are just as kind and friendly but their responses to my apologies have changed. They no longer say, ‘It’s OK, no need to apologize.’ They now say, ‘Thank you for apologizing and for coming. When will he (trump) be leaving?’

I found an amazing shop called Tangled Garden in Grand Pre, Nova Scotia and had a nice talk with the owner. She makes incredible jams from the freshest and most unusual herb combinations. Her store and gardens are magical. I wanted to ship home 20 jars for Christmas. Canadian businesses in this province are not allowed to ship to the US. She can ship anywhere else. I totally understand. She encouraged me to keep checking the website to see if things change. Then she said, ‘Is it true trump is sick? How sick? Because when he is gone, my business will get back on track.’

I’m with her. Hoping for a Merry Christmas filled with Canadian jams!
