Make money doing the work you believe in

I’ve been to seven leadership courses now, all different programs with different experts at the front of the room; they were all great! I liked the presenters and free snacks. One presenter even became my quasi-mentor, however, we did the usual things you do at these things: leadership models, personality frameworks and even the classic role-play with the ‘difficult staff member’. It all made sense.

But it didn’t change me, because when the next few work days came around, there was no script, no role-play, no ‘let’s try that again’ in the real world. Where do leaders actually learn to lead and could we build it differently?
