The app for independent voices

This brought back very old memories. From Class 7 to 10, my everyday companion was the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary. It did not have the extremely difficult words, but almost all the words that it did have were accompanied by usage examples. I kind of found my first proper footing in English because of that dictionary, and I will forever be grateful to it. Sometimes, when I was bored I used to “doom scroll” through it - just randomly going through new words and their usage.

The wifi was out for an hour. I was bored and wanted to read, so ofcourse for the difficult words I had to use the old dictionary that doesn't see the light of the day, well in this case the light of the night, usually.
