When newspapers publish opinion pieces, it’s generally because the editors believe that the writer has information and or insights worthy of being shared with the readers of the newspaper. 19 years ago, a warning that I wrote about what I believed then to be an Impending Israeli military action against Iran contained specific concepts and cautions designed to serve as advice to the national security community and local law enforcement. I had forgotten about this piece and literally stumbled upon it yesterday while looking through my files in the process of writing the book. When I read it, it felt as though I had been picked up and dumped into a tub of ice water. What was so shocking is that what I had offered to my readers and to elected officials as well as law-enforcement and the military back then, is valid right now. I hope you’ll take the time to read it. If you do, you will see why I so want to be wrong about this.
