To say that I’m excited about how things went with the little loom I found in the trash is an understatement!! I’m up to euphoria levels! And all from the ends of yarn which I had left over from projects or which came in bits and pieces from charity shops. I didn’t agonize over which color to choose next and that made a fun random quality to the finished weaving. AND even in this little length I can see progress from where my edges were wonky and wavy to being pretty consistent. I started with warp threads about 2.5 meters long and ended up with a finished weaving a little less than a meter long. I will now know to put a piece of cardboard or wood and maybe a twilling stitch at the beginning of my project so that I don’t just have tiny pieces of warp thread at the front end. And I learned how to deal with loose ends about a third of the way through. So, I’m very happy. I think I shall put this one on my wall or desk to enjoy and carry on with another warp! All for free from the trash and scraps. Thanks to everyone for your encouragement!
