It will be my first major procedure in Spain, and I couldn’t be more thankful my doctor will be the one handling everything. She speaks fluent English, and she goes out of her way to ensure my comfort at every visit—never rushing me or speeding through my questions.
American healthcare would never. I’d be sent to a different specialist, have to beg my insurance to cover me, and I’d be a nervous wreck. At the end of it, I’d owe God knows how much to who knows who.
