I wrote a poem about meeting my younger self for coffee and it went viral. It is a poem that is in my upcoming book: Deep In My Feels. But here is the story behind the meaning of it.

It represents a meeting between my present self and my younger self. Where I, as the older version, offer the support and understanding that I needed back then but perhaps didn’t receive. The moment symbolizes my emotional growth and my ability to recognize that healing doesn’t always come from empty reassurances, but from truly being present with my feelings.

Walking my younger self home represents that even though time has passed, I am not alone on this journey. I am carrying forward the lessons I've learned and offering them back to my past self. The poem is about acknowledging the struggles I've faced and offering myself the compassion I may not have had in those difficult times. Ultimately, it’s about nurturing the parts of me that needed healing, while honoring both who I was and who I’ve become.
