Just as I’ve said on other platforms, I don’t plan to spend any of these four years concentrating on people and administrations that don’t even like me. But as we start this ride here are a few things I’m holding true for myself and hope you will too:

• Community will be your saving grace. Find a group of people to love on and be loved by in this time. Maybe sometimes you’ll commiserate, but I hope you’ll use it to do my next suggestion.

• Imagination and play will be a life-line. Dream with the people you love. Imagine the world you want to see and create small pieces of it with each other right now in the present.

• Consider how you can set up and be prepared to provide mutual aid. What skills do you have that you can share? What offerings can you provide to your community?

• Let go of perfection. Just be together. You don’t need the perfect event or dinner or outing. Just. Be. Present. Together.

• Let God and the ancestors guide. This is a time to be still and listen. Trust your intuition. Move in the ways they lead.

And as k.dot reminds us, “we gon’ be alright.” Happy Dreaming 💜
