Spent the last couple days representing the Independent Educational Consultants Association on The Hill lobbying for better legislation around cost transparency in higher education. I brought along some egregious financial aid offer letters to demonstrate why this is critical legislation for students and families, which made for some pretty fun discussions as we watched staffers struggle to determine the bottom line costs for each school!
Some highlights: meeting Senator King (his wife made us blueberry bread!), cherry blossoms, and the Folger’s Shakespeare Library (excellent food, nourishing ambiance, and the whole first floor smells like books).
