Abolishing ICE and replacing it with a newly imagined immigration agency NOT ROOTED IN RACISM is not a radical idea. It is the only possible way to fix what is broken. Trump is getting rid of the Department of Education. He killed USAID. He’s decimated the CFPB. If shutting an agency down is such a big deal where’s the outrage over those?

There is nothing radical at all about admitting that an agency has gone rogue and needs to be reimagined. And that is what we must do.
