i feel like as more social media platforms end up in legal battles re: their addictiveness and cultural debate about social media & its impact on mental health grows, substack will need to (and should!!) revamp its platform to make notes completely optional — separate notes notifications from newsletter notifications, make users who don’t opt into notes un-taggable in other people’s notes, have an inbox landing page without a notes tab, etc. forcing users who are here for the back-end newsletter creation functionality into a social media-style feed is pretty wild
