Can we apply competency questions to system designs and architectures?

Absolutely. In fact, if we are designing AI systems focused on knowledge architectures and information retrieval, competency questions should be baked into every design and architecture framework.

Ultimately, we are designing systems to answer questions—so why not persist questions throughout system design requirements, schema designs, testing suites, governance…?
