Men, your house will serve something.

If you do not set the tone, something else will. Comfort will. Screens will. Money will. Busyness will. Fear will.

Joshua drew a line: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Before a man says that over his house, he has to ask it over his own heart: As for me, will I serve the Lord?

Will I put away passivity, lust, anger, control, comfort, and self-reliance?

You cannot save your wife or children. Only Jesus saves. But you are responsible for the spiritual direction of your home.

So pray. Open the Word. Repent first. Lead with humility and clarity.

Do not drift. By the grace of God, draw a line.
