New tech ‘exit’ in Spain: French Devoteam buys Deiser

  • The French company, which has been controlled since 2021 by KKR and the founding partners after delisting it, acquires the Spanish tech company dedicated to consulting and digital transformation, mainly within the Atlassian environment.

  • The acquisition details have not been made public by the buyer, which speaks of strengthening its position in the Spanish market and expanding its service offering in collaborative project management.

  • According to the data from Deiser's latest financial statements, consulted by Ecotechers, it generated more than 15.3 million euros in revenue (compared to 12.6 million a year earlier). EBITDA was around 421,000 euros. Of that business, the vast majority is product sales, and barely 2.5 million correspond to services and licenses. Two-thirds were generated in Spain.

  • Who controlled the Spanish company, founded in the late 90s? According to the same figures, five individuals - whose names are not disclosed - share 100% of the company's shares.

  • What is Devoteam? It is a consulting firm specializing in digital strategy, cybersecurity, and technology platforms, headquartered in France but with a strong presence in Spain. There are no updated figures for the entire group's size. The latest: in 2023, they reached 1 billion euros in revenue. And, according to its CEO, the goal was to reach 2 billion in five years (2028). It is controlled by the founding partners and KKR, but the share distribution is unknown.
