Unfortunately it seems as though Haruki Komoda will miss the rest of the Spring Kōshien with a fractured left wrist. I don't follow high school baseball very cloesly but colleagues in Tokyo have described him as a phenom and top prospect for the draft this year. He duly played up to that hitting a HR in his first AB. But a bad collision at first base looks to have ended his tournament despite Yamanashi Gakuin progressing to the next round. A two-way player with eletric stuff on the mound, it'll be interesting to monitor his progress towards the draft.
