Been so deep in World Cup planning I haven’t been able to watch as much Swallows baseball recently as I’d have liked to.

But managed to wrangle working today’s game and it was another outstanding team performance, 5-0 win over the Giants (2-1 series win and 3rd series win over the Giants this season).

They had impressive rookie Kazuyuki Takemaru on the mound so wasn’t expecting much, but as usual this year…the Swallows surprise. Taichi Yamano pitched superbly for his 5th win of the season which is tops.

Souma Uchiyama’s conversion from catcher to infielder continues to go well. Hidetaka Namiki leading off for the first time hit a first pitch HR to start the game. Everything Ikeyama touches turns to gold right now.
