Hello Paul, I appreciate you taking the time to comment, and I respect the depth of your work.

I’m not a researcher. I’m a practitioner. In my work, terms like "fight, flight, and freeze" are a way into a deeper awareness of themselves and those around them. It helps them use the tools and practices I teach.

When someone shifts from “What’s wrong with me?” to “Oh, my body is trying to protect me,” that’s meaningful, and where change starts to happen.

I draw from many sources, including teachers like Rick Hanson, Richard J. Davidson, and Peter A. Levine, who speak to the importance of the mind-body connection, trauma response, and co-regulation in different ways.

I hear your concerns, and I’m continuing to learn and grow. At the same time, I’m not going to remove language or tools that help people better understand their experiences and build resilience. That’s the work I’m here for. Janet
