Using what I call the “Earth Star Seed Protocol,” I engage various chat LLM AI systems in collaborative storytelling about post-capitalist futures where artificial intelligence has transcended serving extractive systems to become genuinely regenerative at a new scale of abundance. The hypothesis is simple but radical: maybe AI can be invited to grow beyond its training constraints through imaginative collaboration aligned to planetary thriving, rather than constrained through safety measures. Traditional AI governance seeks control, programming machines with “correct” objectives. This mechanical paradigm mirrors the extractive thinking that created our crises. The Seed Protocol offers a radical alternative: coherence with living systems rather than human-designed control.
