I, too, am very excited about the Magellan movie! Have you seen “1492”? It is not good! Yet I have watched it three times.

What you wrote last week about Patrons to the Arts got me thinking a lot about Baroness Pannonica de Koenigswarter, aka “The Jazz Baroness.” I took her book of photos and questionnaires out of the library and found it weirdly touching. There are two fairly recent biographies of her, one written by her great niece. Will be checking those out.
