I officially launched my Substack last night (on Juneteenth!) and wow. It feels good. And then I woke up this morning, as writers do, plagued with doubt about my names…of my pub, my notes handle, my subdomain…because they are not the same. I feared I’m too unwieldly. And then it occurred to me: I’m not building a brand, I’m building a world. And those are not the same thing. A Decolonial world of words and ideas. So for anyone writing and moving and opening in these ways, too, I just want to encourage you to keep going and to connect. Let’s build worlds together.
