I know nothing about gardening, let alone farming, but I read THE WORST HARD TIME about the dust bowl and that is all I need to know that the soil must be nourished healthfully, and crops rotated.
Regenerative farming methods aren't always easy, but it's what's right for the soil, the ecosystem, and it's what's right for me.
Personally, I'll keep on keeping on at Runamuk--no-till, rotational grazing, cover-cropping and composting--these are all practices that build my soil.
In turn, that soil is building a thriving ecosystem both above and below ground.
