In politics, the center is neither here nor there, the indecisive middle-of-the-road where armadillos hunker down to be run over by heavy traffic from the right , AND left. Worse, the dictionary sez DEAD means "deprived of life," "insensitive," "irresponsive..." "dull."

You shoulda called me, Joe. I could have saved you from what amounts to self-mockery. And Lord knows you get plenty of mockery without piling it on yourself!
