Speculation about who will become Adobe’s ($ADBE) next CEO should begin soon.

I’ll put my main guess here already, under a normal scenario (disregarding acquihires): David Wadhwani, 51 - the third-highest paid executive at Adobe after Narayen and CFO Dan Durn.

He currently runs the company’s largest segment by far - Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Acrobat, and Firefly. He has two stints at Adobe, having left between 2015 and 2021 to take executive and investment roles in Silicon Valley before returning.

He was also the executive who led the attempted acquisition of Figma in 2022, which was later blocked by regulators.

A younger and experienced executive who could potentially bring some “fresh blood” to Adobe’s products if given greater autonomy.
