It's Christmas Day. For Christians, it's the observance of one of the most significant days in human history - the day Jesus was born.

Though I once was a megachurch pastor, I no longer identify as a "Christian" because of all the baggage with the term. To be fair, I deconstructed away most of my former Evangelical theology but I personally ascribe significance to Jesus for reasons that are meaningful for me.

I do write articles about Christianity, typically as a critic, and write about the historical figure, Jesus. As I've mentioned previously, I don't believe Jesus had "Christianity" in mind, and I don't think you can pin the Christian religion on Jesus. You don't have to be a "Christian" to find meaning in Jesus, you could be an atheist.
