Two children were killed today simply because they were Catholic. Another dozen or so were wounded and the shooter intended them to die.

Simply for being Catholic.

But their mayor can’t bring himself to even talk about anti-Catholic bigotry, or the role his party has had in fomenting it.

Instead he worried about negative attention being focused on the shooter’s claimed transgender identity.

Again, two kids are dead for the crime of being Catholic.
