After a meeting about accessibility: one of the reasons why verbal descriptions of images for blind folks feel terrible and seem exhausting (to me at least) is because we are too serious or literal.
As a blind artist told me recently, accessibility texts cannot be dry!
Can you imagine looking at the most luscious painting by Fragonnard and describing it to a visually impaired person as “lady on a swing losing a shoe”?
