Was our old fridge, unused. She got a magnetic one and I remember using the box as a fort in my room but she kept the old one and just stored it. Odd that Sears didn’t take it away, or that she didn’t ask a friend to take it to the dump. Just put it in the garage out in the open. I do remember getting the talk about kids suffocating. Like putting Ajax next to sugar and telling me don’t mistake the Ajax for sugar. She also did the mom arm seatbelt maneuver while I stood in the front seat of the car because I was too small to see. What a time to have been alive!
