This is not meant to sound callous, but it’s become clear that there is a segment of the Jewish population that will soon be lost. These are the Jews that just a few years ago would have called themselves ‘Jewy’ instead of Jewish. They reject Israel. They reject their own Jewishness. And it’s unclear if any effort should be spent trying to ‘save’ them. Our focus should be on the proud Jew. The Zionist Jew. We can’t spread ourselves too thin. It’s going to get bad. We need to be able to protect those Jews that are proud to call themselves Jews.
