Make money doing the work you believe in

This is a fabulous essay by Hollis Robbins on the “it's not X, it's Y" construction to which LLMs annoyingly default. She explains why they do it and she explains why it's so frustrating—especially in large doses. One of the things I find frustrating personally is that sometimes this construction is useful and its overuse by LLMs has rendered it almost impossible to use any longer.
