The far left tries to do too much for people and the far right does too little.

The far left and the far right have extorted the Democrat and Republican parties into submission, because their small percentage of their respective parties is what gets each party over the finish line when elections come. If they don’t bend to the extremists, the extremists don’t show up and the other side wins.

This is why we need a four party system. Big cities will elect a handful of far left people to Congress and rural areas will elect far right. Most of Congress will be center right or center left. It removes the possibility for absolute domination by one group, especially an extremist wing of the Republicans or Democrats to rise up within one of the parties, like we have seen now.

It Fosters, the kind of compromise and input from everybody that democracy requires.

It’s not like the far left and far right don’t have any good ideas. It’s just that they have far more bad ideas and to live in a dreamworld where you could get everybody to agree on the same things regarding how the world should work. We need grown-ups in the room, controlling the conversation. We need balance.
