Add on that the protest march was known about for weeks before, Trump suggested that the Capitol defenses be enlarged and tried to talk down the crowd. How come the cowardly lawmakers just deserted the ship instead of trying to talk down the “rioters”.

IMHO, the whole thing was a conspiracy between the Dem. Leadership and the RINOS, led by Pelosi, Pence and Cheney. It did not work significantly on Jan.6 so the House investigation ensued, bipartisan, with Cheney and Kinzinger as the bipartisan GOP. That was the biggest hoax. Do you think that the new House or the DOJ will open an investigation of the investigation? I would love to see the RINO traitors to the people get hung out to dry. In the meantime, Trump, get those folks out of jail or indictment.
