As a world geopolitics, society, environment and global heating educator and journalist for more than 30 years I honestly felt shocked & fearful for this announcement.- Torahic and barking-mad Christian Old Testament children’s and vulnerable, abused, cowed, suborned or depressed teenagers’ stories had FAR WORSE THAN zero connect with the Durkheimean sociology of adequately senior secondary educated adults ANYWHERE - certainly including all students of science, maths & humane logic, not just the psycho-culturally INVALID supposedly atheistic tendentious “social darwinist” Bernays ad agency and 2-bit now AI GPT, Copilot, GAI, Grok, @NvidiaAI ad nauseam Civil-society & intelligent Grown-ups conversation-destroying C grade political speechwriters of the TWENTIETH century arts, humanities & social science: IT WAS ANTITHETICAL TO ANY AND ALL SOCIOLOGY, even the basically Thatcherian aristocracy & landlords (not to mention ageing Australian business-women or our famous finger-wagging ‘Dame Edna Everage’ contrarian ‘chattering-class’) ‘No operational-let-alone-self-managing-geocomms’ ‘No-society’ & ‘NO LIVING ENVIRONS’ 1980s FUNCTIONALISTS of every large university in the USA lorded over by great proto-classical academic neoclassical ‘collossi bestriding some real estate development landscape’ at MIT, Sandford, Harvard, Berkeley and so on and on.. add McGill MQ 🇨🇦 certainly.
