We seem to often struggle with defining “strategy” in the context of a company. The 🐐, Mr. Porter, seems to have given us a sound explanation.

Wait for it…in this excerpt from the 1998 updated intro to his seminal, Competitive Strategy.

I love this because it actionably places strategy in the context of what the firm does, how it operates.
