This is just a natural progression of the platforms growth. It’s giving us a more accurate picture of the future platform and audience interest.
Content quality becomes more important.
Quality of content is always king.
I’ve never had a time where engagement dipped and it wasn’t ultimately about content quality or audience fatigue on a particular topic / pillar.
Users have inbox fatigue. That issue needs to be solved for by @Substack Team.
The platform needs to attract more consumption focused users, rather than solely content creators.
Stay the course.
It makes sense.
I produced fewer notes per day in the last few weeks and my engagement has been very strong.
Hope this helps!
Great content always wins, friends.

Substack launched the Notes scheduler six days ago. My engagement has dropped every day since.
Notes and posts that used to land are getting half the reactions. DMs feel quieter. I am hearing the same from other creators across different niches.
If you are seeing something similar, tell me. I am collecting data.
