Earlier this week, I sent President Trump a letter encouraging him to give the ultimate gift to the American people by calling for the adoption of a Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Call it the “Trump Amendment”!

The correct pathway to this goal is for Congress to propose an Amendment which passes each chamber with a two-thirds majority that would then be ratified by three-fourths of the states.

It's an idea that may seem impossible in today's political gridlock, but I can't think of a more bipartisan issue than preserving American prosperity for future generations. Let’s get this done!
