I am strongly inclined to support Rupert Lowe and Restore Britain, not because of the more extreme, reductionist ethno-nationalist position of some of his more vocal on-line supporters, but because he seems to truly understand the malign corrosive nature of the Big State - and because, unlike others such as Farage and Habib, he has both the determination and the intellectual capacity to do something about it.

Of course, he still needs to build a competent, qualified team to deliver the changes needed - The “professionalised” party that Farage promised but has so tragically failed to do deliver.

Whether Lowe can do that remains to be seen and, with the current UK Labour administration imploding ever more rapidly by the day, he may have very little time in which to achieve it. He is making some welcome noises about rapidly building a grass-roots foundation, but a structured central team is equally important.

For now, we must all watch with interest, and do all we can to encourage Lowe to take the logistical steps necessary to build a party which can truly challenge the status quo. If he can do that though, then Britain may just have a future after all.
