Rather than talking about a book, let me tell you about my favorite character. My publisher did an anthology called Murder Maker about writers going to a mansion to take over the legacy of a dying horror writer. We were assigned images of people and told to build the character. Mine was Jennie Olson, a bad-ass bitch with a foul mouth and a penchant for murder. In the end, my publisher picked the winner based on the best story. Jennie won, and I got to write the main part of the sequel, which was absolutely vile. Unfortunately, both books are now out of print.
