There are several great things about getting older. You become a little wiser, you have life experiences that become great tales, plus you know who you are, finally. There are downsides, though. Your kids no longer need you as much as you need them, and your parents pass. I lost my mum way back in 2001, but I think about her every day, and I still chat with her in my head. Whether she hears me or not is something I won't know for sure until my time comes. Still, the comfort of those chats is real.
