Scams and fake accounts on Substack.

Recently I have been getting more fake & scam followers. Yesterday I got three direct message from one because I hadn’t responded their first message the day before, telling me how beautiful I am and how impressed they are with my writing. Wrong on both accounts, so don’t bother telling me that garbage. 😁

One issue is the automatic follow back process when checking them. They end up with a very impressive list of amazing followers adding respectability to their accounts.

Yes I do block and report when I definitely know it’s a fake account. I maybe an old curmudgeon but it is becoming an increasingly annoying problem. I love Substack I don’t want the safe caring feeling of community to change.
