Probably all of us unconsciously choose to see what we want to see, rather than what’s actually in front of us. So I can have a little (very little) empathy for those who are stuck in illusion - in the delusional thinking that the emperor is beautifully arrayed in the finest silk. But every time someone speaks up about what they’re actually seeing, we may be able to pull the veil off someone’s eyes. Every new person who starts seeing clearly matters.
