As a parish priest (of thirty nine years but who's counting?), I am,first, enjoying this novel very much; it is well written and insightful. But second, I think it's a real gift to the reader, a window into the human reality of the priesthood and the life of the Church. Ranks right up there (and this is high praise) with Edwin O'Connor's "The Edge of Sadness" as a great novel of the Priesthood. -Fr Wilson
