What does it say about a band that you can legitimately make a case for as many as 4 albums as their magnum opus? Some would argue that this is their best, and I wouldn’t be mad If they did. It’s no their best for me, but again, it’s really high up there. This is a 4.5-5 star in my book.
“Work” and “Dead Man (Carry Me)” are a strong one-two punch of openers, with “Work” utilizing the electric guitar to drive home the pondering, “do you know what I mean, when I say, I don’t wanna be alone?” With Heavy percussion and a thumping bass line driving “Dead Man.”
“Oh My God” could be given an entire blogs worth of thoughts there’s so much there. Suffice to say, it’s like a three act play, and it’s builds to a gut wrenching and questioning plea.
