I don’t believe in certain personality types being a sole indicator of effective leadership.
I’ve sat with someone who had recently been given feedback that their introverted style would prevent them from being an effective leader.
I could not disagree more.
Clarity matters more than charisma.
Our teams do not need us to be a big personality.
They need strategic clarity, resources to execute, and intentional support.
Doing that effectively doesn’t require you to be someone you’re not—that’s when you end up with performative leaders.
